Tasha Tudor Tea Party
Saturday, September 22, 2018
Tasha Tudor is an author and illustrator of children’s literature. Her charming drawings were used to illustrate The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and her watercolors have graced a books of poetry loved by both the child and parent.
Children, flowers and animals in rural New England fill the pages of Tasha’s books. Her art was drawn from the life she created for herself and her family, a simple way of life from an earlier century, a life of hard work, yet each day she was surrounded by the beauty and nature she needed to nurture herself and her family. Her children say her home was a pleasant place of peace and serenity.
Each day Tasha would take time for tea, to enjoy the company of her children, grandchildren and friends. We invite you to come have tea with us and learn about the life of Tasha Tudor.
